When we meet

We have several different meetings during the week. You're welcome to come to any or all of them! Sometimes we meet in college, other times we join up with groups from all the other colleges.

Weekly meetings

College group is our big weekly meeting in Queens'. We meet at 8pm on Wednesdays in the Armitage Room (above the buttery) to equip and encourage each other in our evangelism. We also study the Bible together and pray.

Friday morning prayer meetings are our prayer meetings...on Friday mornings! In many ways, they're our most important meetings each week, when we set aside lots of time to ask God to make Jesus known through us to our friends. We meet in someone's room at 8.00am - coffee/croissants/muffins are often provided!

We usually meet up informally every Sunday morning before church for breakfast in somebody's room. It's a great chance to hang out together before we head off to our various churches. In the first few weeks of term, we'll use this time to help freshers find a church in Cambridge and think about what we should look for when choosing one.

CICCU Central is where all the Christian Unions from every college come to meet together, praise God, encourage one another and hear the Bible explained. It takes place every Saturday at 5pm at Eden Chapel, but we usually walk together from Queens'.

CICCU also holds a range of evangelistic events, including weekly lunchtime talks (complete with free lunch!) answering common questions about Christianity. There are also central prayer meetings on Monday to Thursday mornings - more information will be available about all of this on CICCU's website before the start of term.

One off yearly events

College Getaway

This is something not to miss! At the start of first term each year we normally go away for a few days with a couple of other Cambridge colleges for a time of talks, sport and general fun together. See here for details where more information will be available nearer the time or give us a shout if you have any questions.

CICCU House Party

At the end of the Christmas vacation, in early January, CICCU holds a big get-away for students at all the college groups across Cambridge. We go away for a few days to get to know each other better, have great fun and hear great talks and seminars from the Bible. More info on how to book your place on houseparty 2013 will appear nearer the time so check back near the end of this year.

Main event

Each year in February, CICCU puts on a special week of talks and events to help Cambridge students find out more about Jesus. We'll be using our college group meetings this term to help us get ready to make the most of this wonderful opportunity for people to hear the good news. This year 'main event' week is 6-10th February 2012!
